NEWS Fuck You United Airlines

I know right, being junior totally blows.
Reserve can be pretty ok. I’ve credited 126 so far this month. That’s 17 days “worked”, 8 days actually flown, and three nights spent away from home. Granted I have one more reserve block left so I could fly a few more days (and credit more)

Nice.

I'm still commuting, plus doing adult shit like painting a nursery and being a really shitty reservist is cramping my ability to pick up extra. Last month credited 119 and was super eeeeeaaaaaaasy.

One 4 day I operated a grand total of 5 legs...the rest was all premium due to deadheading all over the country on move-up pay.

Who am I to argue? I got paid a lot to catch up on Better Call Saul/ignore stupid questions from the resident aviation experts who decide to sit next to the pilot types riding in the back.

I'm on pace to block 88 hours and credit 93 hours this month. Yesterday morning we took off from AVL before tower opened and I had to call FSS on my cell phone to get the clearance. Tomorrow, I start a trip. 5 legs the first day...

Sounds awful.

Fuck that! I have never flown 5 legs.. EVER.. I’m on pace to block 400 hours this year... YTD 215 hours block and 705 credit hours. All numbers are a tad low cause I didn’t figure the minutes when adding them up. Only months so something less than 8. Oh and 400 is working too much. This being undermanned in seat sucks!

Good place as any:
SWA sucks at W&B...
For the professional transport AWers, how much does 1,000 lb affect a 737's performance?

I can say that our glorious NATOPS is only verified to get you within ~5% of the right answer, which is about 1,000 lb for a Seahawk.

I recently flew United Airlines (4x flights) and they were great. Military with ID get free checked bags, compared to $50/bag or something ridiculous.
