Still standing by, I had a friend that is an ISC in the reserves make me show him my name was on the list, because he was starting to think I read it wrong. lol.
The NOSC received my approved RRA, I have my appointment Oath and my unit has me on the drilling roster. The issue is I am not in DEERS and cannot get a CAC/Uniforms/Pay or have my clearance stuff transferred over. I really wanted to drill this past weekend, however I guess I am at the mercy of the NOSC to push that button to get me gained into the system.

Yeah, I am still waiting for commissioning documents. I have had people reach out to me from the NOSC in regards to NIOBC and drilling, but I don't think they were aware I was still waiting on commissioning documents. The communication aspect to this seems to be a bit lacking, which is understandable given the number of parties involved.

I hear that. I didn't see any official document telling me I was selected until a month or two ago. Everything prior to that was just people telling me congratulations.

You can and should purchase uniforms before you are in DEERS. Take your signed commissioning certificate to any military uniform shop (incl. NMCRS thrift stores, if that's your thing), and tell them you're a newly commissioned naval officer. Recommend buying 1x set khakis and 1x set NWU Type IIIs.

(Unfortunately, until you are in DEERS, you cannot be verified for shopping the NEX's online uniform store. But this site is also a good - if unorthodox - way to check whether you are in DEERS yet or not.)

They are required to assign you to the NOSC closest to your home of record.
We have 2 NOSC down here and for some reason mine is not the closest. The unit I am assigned to determines which NOSC I am a part of. I tried to go to the SD NOSC but they sent me to NI.

Can't blame you. There's too many good breweries in Miramar to pass up. ;)

I'm in the same boat as you - still waiting on my commissioning documents. Overseas right now for work so the delay is actually kind of convenient, but I also am really looking forward to commissioning and getting started. I leaned ahead and bought a pair of khakis and NWU Type 3s since I already had base access.

A question to all of those who have gone through the process:
Today I have received an email scheduling me for “Pre-Screening Interview (PSI), Officer In Charge (OIC) interview, and the actual DIRCOM Board”. Can anyone break down what to expect within each of these phases?
  • What to expect within the Pre-Screening Interview
  • What to expect within the Officer In Charge interview
  • What to expect within the DIRCOM Board
I have the Pre Screening and OIC interview on the 20th July and the DIRCOM Board on the 27th July.
What kind of questions, how many people are present for each of these, is it highly technical or typically focuses on leadership…?

Pre-screen/OIC verifies your info a that you understand why you're there. 1:1

Board is like a basic suitability check for the community. 3:1

You need perfect scores on each or you kit is DOA.

Forgive the shorthand. I'm pecking on a phone sized keyboard.

Does anyone have the website for the Navy SF86 process? My OR emailed it to my work address - which I can not get to from home. The OR fortunately texted me the username and password, I just dont have the website on hand.

Hate to be a jerk about this, but did you Google? Literally on the first page of results....
