OCS Next Pilot/NFO Board 30 June 2015

OCS October 18th - Pilot Program
SWO? I don't know how much research you've done but I suggest doing a little more. Supply or maybe even Intel I can see but folks are usually running away from SWO life, not towards it.

I will admit that I am not as educated on SWO as I feel like I need to be but from what I have gathered it seems more appealing to me. Can I ask what makes you say that about SWO?

since my recruiter left in may to go back to the fleet i'm now dealing with the NRD processor. No results posted for him yet here in Houston. Hoping he gets them today so I can stop with the anxiousness and just find out already!!

I would say it's perceived as a lot more hard work with none of the sex appeal of being a pilot. Personally if I couldn't be an NFO my second choice is SWO, so don't let other people scare you away from it.

Pro rec Y! Just got back from Europe to a bunch of voicemails from my OR. Thanks for the help of everyone on here. He said I could anticipate (not expect) the FINSEL in 1-3 months. Anyone hear similar? Congrats to all other selects and stay encouraged for anyone who missed this board!

So I know for a fact my package made it to the board on the 16th of June.
The 16th is past the date that we were told for the June 30th board. I don't recall the exact date, but I "think" it was June 5th. Most likely, your kit wasn't seen at this board but your recruiter should be able to confirm/deny when he or she looks in CIRIMS. I'd expect the next board sometime after the beginning of the new fiscal year that begins on October 1st.

Just got the call, I was selected for Pilot!!! Congrats ladies and gentlemen, I look forward to flying with you. NRD Miami so the rest of you in Florida should be hearing soon.
Tampa has their names too. My buddy in Orlando is still waiting for his call, but perhaps his NRD just hasn't checked yet. But I assume all of Florida is good to go now.

If they took my wings today I'd still go SWO tomorrow. I feel the trend is self evident though. The SWOs transitions I've met on flight school and friends from OCS have more or less shared the sentiment that SWOS are over worked, don't get much sleep or free time, the community doesn't look out for one another. This varies with commands of course, but I'd ask around before turning down a brown boot job.

Congrats to everyone. I'm still here waiting in-patiently. I keep bugging my recruiter he doesn't have any results, and sounds like CIRIMS doesn't show anything for me. Anybody have a PDF for STL who could look up a name, is that even allowed?
