SWO Board Meeting on 6 OCT

Yes,

I received my ProRec - Y yesterday. According to BOL it says that they were posted at 1323 for us. It's strange that they did not release them all that the same time. I was under the impression that that is how they would release them.
Congrats!

Yes, I clicked on Advancement/Selection Boards.

It took a few minutes for the page to load, but they were on my personal BOL.

Hmm..the only thing i can possibly think of is perhaps they are not finished with pushing out results on BOL if both myself and the other gentleman don't have anything on ours. Guess we wait.

I know it's hard to tell, but I submitted my package to the SWO board on October 6th. If selected, when do you think I will go to OCS?

USSMaximus, my package also made it into the Oct 6 SWO Board. My recruiter told me that it will take approx. 2-3 weeks to hear back from the board. He also told me that depending on the amount of applicants they have lined up for classes, I could be looking at several months (December-March) of waiting before I ship out for OCS. Good luck with your package!

For the first part you should know sometime this coming week. Wait until Wednesday if you haven't heard something to call them. They are saying 2-3 weeks so you won't bother them. As far as OCS goes, you might ship that soon, but plan for more like 4-6 months until you ship. That is what the average wait time is on AW for people without special circumstances.

Yeah, I've been hearing March through May, from my OR

Hey all, quick question.

I put in for both SWO and SNFO, which are both going to board this month. What happens in the event that I get selected for SWO, but still want to see the result of my package at the SNFO boards later this month? Will they allow me to tentatively accept SWO and wait for the results of the second board, being that SNFO was my first choice? Thank you!

Some of that's discussed on the National OPO blog, I think.

They will not allow you to tentatively accept a spot. If SWO was your first choice and you are selected for it they will stop processing your other options unless your recruiter informed them otherwise. If SWO was your second choice then they will keep processing your package until the SNFO board, then you would be able to select which one if you were selected for both. Hopefully that helps!

Beat me to it, but I'm fairly sure that is how it works as well.

Thank you so much! That was precisely the information I was looking for! I did indeed put SNFO as my first choice.

Would they share the information as to whether or not I was accepted as SWO if I were to call them when the SWO board concludes?

Is it fairly common to get a "No" for SWO if it is listed as a third option for selection order? ( I listed SNA, SNFO, SWO)
