Is the Super Hornet great in its secondary role air superiority?

Is it viable against the SU-35 and any other rivals if there willing to engage the Rhino?

It has JHMCS ,AIM-9x ,APG-79 and great systems in A2A. Has the GIB for situsational awareness.

So does it need EPE engines to regain better acceleration? To able to engage faster high flying targets?

I guess it has great sensors and systems in A2A as well as JHMCS AIM-9x.

Agile is of course why the Super Hornet is great in WVR.

So..... Any body willing to answer?

I understand your the "Super" Moderator, but what do you mean

"Are you serious"?

Brett is asking you if you are being serious with your questions. Your questions appears to be "trollish" behavior....It's hard to believe you are a 38 yo retired engineer when you can't even get the spelling or grammar correct in your post. You can tell us, are you really a cat?

Alright, let's start over. First tell us your OWN opinion about your own question then we will tell you ours.

Yes it's a serious question. I was born in another country, which is why my english and grammar is not good if i should say. I'm not a cat, just a password i intended to use. I was an engineer in another country.

But i think the Super Hornet is a viable plane in A2A in the secondary role. As well as its viable against the Mig or Flanker rivals.

I know it's embarrasing not knowing my grammar or English well at 38. But let's focus on the topic and not my grammar

Hey, ease up on felines. I had a cat who was quite the expert on off-boresight heat shots.............and sleeping.

The AIM-9X makes the Super Hornet a viable contender, but it's the AIM-120 that really makes it a rival. You also have to add in how proficient the operator is at flying his machine and weapons systems.

Also consider this, to date, there are only 14 SU-35s (and 17 SU-27M) built. The US has built more than 500 Super Hornets (E - Single Seat & F - Two Seat) variants.

If we compare the two in a dog fight...guns v. guns, then it changes the outcome.
