Hm talking to the recruiter he said the only duty stations for intel in the SE are ATL, Jacksonville and maybe Raleigh? Shame since I live right near NWS Charleston. Anyone have any insight on this?

I heard of some talk that Greensboro may become one as well, but that was speculation at this point. I don't know about Charelston.

Thanks for the info, I'll keep an eye out. May be moving to DC shortly following an internship at the DIA this summer. I would have to assume its not hard to find an intel billet in that area.

I'm being told I have to take the ASTB again. Though I had been told it was only required for Aviators and Navigagors and no longer required for IDC. Can anyone confirm this?

Woohoo. COMDOCS are in. I commission on Friday. I can't wait so I can snag a slot in the May class.

I didn't do the ASTB for entry. Was told it's not required for us.

Why not get assigned to one of them and get cross assigned to drill in Augusta, GA at the NIOC GA. Only a 3 hour drive from you and you can actually do intel.

Thanks guys, it pays to be informed. I had a chat with my recruiter this morning and corrected him. He called is CO and confirmed. We're moving forward. They want to slate me for the September Board but I'm pushing for March. Keep you posted. Thanks again.

Congrats Mbstroz. It's finally happening for you...from your previous posts you have waited a long time for this. Make sure you enjoy the experience! So now there are 2 of us on the board planning on the May DCO class.

Thats excellent mbstroz, congratulations! As for my self, I am scheduled to take my oath February 18th as I am planning a bit of a ceremony. Is any one else doing the same?

P.S. I didn't take the ASTB either!

I am doing a ceremony in Feb also, but went ahead and did the commission with my recruiter, so I can get everything rolling. It depends on who you have doing it. I wouldn't wait for the paperwork side of things. NOthing wrong with doing the commission with your recruiter first, and then doing another more formal ceremony. That's my recommendation. It takes a while for the paperwork to catch up, so if you wait until Feb 18, and then turn your paperwork in, it might take another two weeks or more for you to get in the system. (i don't know for sure, but in my experience, the paperwork takes some time)
