CATM piece TFOA

Once again, the comments on a news article have me shaking my head. Have a read if you need to bump up the blood pressure.
 
Things Falling off Aircraft. Just as it sounds, you have to recount your entire route of flight.
 
An that LFE was enough of a clusterfuck without that happening.

So glad I skipped the debrief.

Did get to see about 13 Raptors on my ATLIC-OUTES orbit though. I swear, they must have launched every single one of the fuckers yesterday.
 
And that is why you always pull on the fins to ake sure they are securely locked.
 
If I owned that truck, I wouldn't be pissed. I mean, how can you be? That's one of those one in a million things that you just have to laugh and be glad no one was hurt.
 
If it were my car and I was a civilian? I'd sign whatever forms the Navy wanted. Then, I'd ask for a photo op with the aircrew, give them the CATM piece, and ask for a shadow box similar to what the pilot got. And maybe have a beer with them at the OClub.
 
I had a TFOA land on my picnic hooch in Krock.

I just grabbed it and walked into Maintenance Control with the "I'm not sure who was just in the break, but this came off" and handed it to them.

Some random 2x2 panel. No big deal it's Krock.

We had a TFOA in the fall.. Never found, no civ reported it, and holy shit did the command/wing/CAG get spooled up for a 2x2 panel.
 
I had a TFOA on the way to Louisiana... It was a box full of poo. My copilot got hit with the shits halfway there. Somewhere over some swamp, the box that he evacuated his bowels into was "accidentally" ejected from the aircraft.
