Old guy could use some help locating ribbons/medals

Really old guy
Contributor
A few months ago a family friend passed away. He was a Korean War vet, and a pretty good guy who kept an eye on my mom and dad when I was away.

Anyway, I want to know if there are differences in medals, ribbons or insignia between what I can find at the NEX and what he wore during his time as a Marine in Korea. I want to make his shadow box as accurate as possible.

thanks in advance

If you haven't checked out the Sgt Grit catalog yet, it has medals/ribbons and even display cases. You can contact them to ask questions, many Veterans groups use them, so they may be able to answer some of your questions and provide any items you're missing.

You could always check with Skeeterman. :) He'd certainly know. :icon_wink

All kidding aside check in with the owner of http://www.planecrazyent.com/index.asp . I talked with him many years ago when he was just getting his business started. Great guy, very knowledgeable, and I believe he’s retired navy. (Not a Marine, but still in the family.)

Somebody, if you have a keyboard lying around, please send it to the poor old man above. The asterisk is really getting to me.

I did, but besides your last post, I *ig*ly doubt that many people will resort to to using a * in place of the * simply to annoy me. Note: posts in this t*read don't count. Oh, sorry for the t*readjack . . .

If it bugs you - tough shit. Go elsewhere. BzB has earned his right to post here 100x over. Have you?
