Oh the fun when the processor gets my packet a hour ago and it is due tomorrow afternoon. 5 phone calls down, hopefully only one meeting left to go.
Resolved so far: married name change, gpa/transcrips, lors, and act/sat scores ( I hope)
For tomorrow: signing, double check forms, weight/height, and sf86 check.
Will be done but bleh

I know we discussed it, but I got the call today from my OR no more SNA, NFO or SWO until September. Sucks but oh well.

Are there really no June SWO boards? I was supposed to make the May ones, but my app got bumped to June. Does that still apply if I'm a BDCP candidate that won't graduate until FY2012? ...Final question, Supply and Intel boards are still meeting this month right?

Officially in and processed. Woo! Only downers- wasn't able to get interview in time, and my only academic lor couldn't be used cause it wasn't signed and person has retired.
Extras- was able to include couple extra activities

Verify info all matches and is lined up. That you have everything for what you are applying for. Actually send it in. Etc. Basically all the paperwork after it leaves your hands.

so hopefully that means it is in TN, and being verifed by the processors there. Good job!

On a side note: found out husband is getting laid off in Oct...think my stress level over waiting just went up, we should be good through the end of the year with house return money and unemployment but would be nice to get a yes out of July...

Final-Select SNA 20 Feb 2011 OCS Date
Lucy, from everything I've read here and heard the paperwork is all due by the 25th of the month to be considered for the following months board. What do you have for a due date?

I was told my due date was the 16th, but turns out that was not for Intel. It is for other desginators, but I am unsure which ones. It is a new/specific change to this month's requirements from my understanding. However, my due date is the 24th, because everything has to be to Millington by the 25th.

Heads up to all though- I have been told/informed there is a new requirement of having an Officer interview for everyone. Desg. doesn't matter as to who the interview is with, but my OP couldn't submit until I have the interview paperwork. I do not know if this is just my NRD or not, but fyi to all.

Lucy, ouch. I'm sorry about your husband's job. As for the officer interview, I was told it wasn't required, and was a bit unusual, but that every little bit to make a package stand out helps.

My OR NEVER mentioned getting an LOR from an officer (only professors and employers, I'm a bdcp candidate). I then discovered these forums and asked my OR about it. He said that I should only get and officer rec if I was actually close with him/her. The reviewers laugh when they see LORs from impressive officers that aren't closely connected to the candidate. I followed his advice.

The ironic thing: although I am not close with any officers, my mother works and is well known at our nearby VA. I could have easily gotten an LOR from an admiral or two through her. Gahh... I hope my OR didn't accidentally give me bad gouge.

I was told not required too, until today... but maybe its only for my NRD. I had planned on getting one, just wish it was in Intel, although I might still get a phone interview in for that one.

Thought the lay off was likely so not a surprise but difficult cause of medical and whatnot.

leigh- Not referring to an LOR. An interview is different, different form and everything. So maybe if resumbit comes up that'll be something you can add. I also think the LOR from officers varies according to desginator. I know you are going for Intel, and they don't mention LORS, but an interview is mentioned as helpful. Did you find out if you made it for the June boards?
