Hey everyone, I just wanted to make myself known here. Saw that this site was a good place to find good "gouge" (?) and I like what goes on in this forum, so I'll be coming back here frequently. :D

I'm a 17 year old cadet with the Army Junior ROTC, from Charlotte Amalie in the United States Virgin Islands. Will be graduating from high school in the next month or so. Going to Norwich University in the fall (hopefully, Texas A&M Wait-listed/Blinn Teamed me) and going to be a part of the Corps of Cadet program. Doing the Naval ROTC program, and I hope to commission as an Ensign or USMC 2nd Lt. (depending on how I feel in sophomore year or whenever) after graduation. Most importantly, I need a flight slot (or Surface Warfare as a backup).

I hope to make a career out of the Navy, spending 30-40 years or however the amount of time that it takes to get one of the Admiral rates, or until the kick me out as a Captain. So, that's me, and I'll be about. :)

Nah man, you've got a good attitude. I am the moto-koolaide drinker around here, you can ask guys around Corpus that know me. But I'm okay with it...you'll be doing the best job in the world. Just make sure you get brown shoes as quick as you can when you get commissioned. Fly hard, play hard...and just be a bad ass in general. Some might call you a tool...but in reality I think you'll just realize you've got a good thing going when others don't realize it.

I don't think you can "somewhat" discover it. But that's a conversation for another time, another thread, and maybe when you're older. As far as your second question, I'll refer you this thread
