Talking about porn...

When my squadron went to CAX 3/4 in 2002, all the company grade were in a K-span, the Majors in a tent, and the CO/XO had their own tent. We borrowed a projector from Ops, taped together a bunch of 29 Stumps maps to make a screen, and ran movies/porn on the back wall 24/7. The CO/XO would come by on occasion and partake in our debauchery (whoever was on off-going CASEVAC duty would bring back cases for the coolers), but when we wanted them to leave - the twice life-size midget porn would start playing...

CAX 3/4 in 2004 there was a tent that went up in flames. It was an officer hooch. Scuttlebutt was that a projector overheated. We were wondering what a projector was doing in a GP tent used for billeting...Now we know...Midget porn.

And Single Seat...What the F$%* is that? What in Hell does it mean? Is it supposed to be art or something?

I think she got her stomach stapled and lost a lot of that weight a few years later.
She really was a very nice lady...

I propose a Cruise Flick PQS.

Upon completion, the nugget shall have 1) seen, 2) be able to roughly summarize the plot in 30 words or less, and 3) offer up one funny/pertinent quote from the following:
- Animal House
- Caddyshack
- Tombstone
- Fight Club
- Kill Bill
- Office Space
- Super Troopers
- The Right Stuff
- Clerks
- Snatch
- Any of the Monty Python films (bonus points for other than Holy Grail)
- Sin City
- Hot Shots!

Just a starter list. Other suggestions?

Where do we get such men?

Always a good one to roll out at the end of some hinge's long, rambling announcement at an AOM. Or when one of your pilots just barfed all over a restaurant table in Dubai.

If you can't quote the Admirals speech at the end of Bridges at Toko Ri you have no love of Naval Air.

RIGHT ON, Bruddah!!! :)

We used to run/re-run the closing moments to include the "famous" line every time we ran that classic flick. By the 3rd or 4th time, everyone in the Ready Room would be on their feet puching the air and shouting "Yeah!! YEAH !! YEAH !!!" :D

Kid stuff perhaps, but a GREAT motivator. And everyone walked out w/ smiles on their faces.

Side note: VF-192 (a.k.a. the Golden Dragons/Golden Worms ... later VA-192 and now VFA-192?) and the O-BOAT figured prominently in the flick. Good stuff.

Where DO we get such men ... ???

The whole quote....

Where Do We Get Such Men?

“Where do we get such men? They leave this ship and they do their job. Then they must find this speck lost somewhere on the sea. When they find it, they have to land on its pitching deck. Where do we get such men?"

Rear Admiral George Tarrant in “The Bridges at Toko-Ri”
