Ok, as much as I hate to admit this, I was watching Top Gun the other night. Anyway, the scene in the bar where Maverick, Goose, Ice Man and Slider meet, Goose asks what happened to Slider because he was under the pretenses that Slider wanted to be a pilot. So, does anyone know why slider became an NFO?

I know of one helo attrite who got sent to be an NFO: I don't know if that's what happened to Slider. BUT, it proves that helos aren't necessarily the bottom of the attrition totem pole!:icon_wink

He actually had the stones to tell me,"Well at least now I can get jets!"

This guy was a danger to himself and others from the get-go.

What I want to know is who the hell is Wolfman talking to on the phone? It's always seemed to me like Top Gun was originally like an hour longer and when they cut it down they missed a few scenes. There are these little inexplicable fragments of subplots all over the place.
