Bell & Sikorsky better look out!

So THAT'S what happened to the 10 grand I sent to that Nigerian prince who e-mailed me. What was his name again? Hakunamatatah?

Currently just a spindly metal frame in the back yard, the helicopter will be a two-seater and Abdullahi calculates it will be able to fly at an altitude of 15 feet for three hours at a stretch.

"...Reached out my hand and touched the face of God"

Sucks when a good-sized hedge is higher than your service ceiling.

I think that the various services should seriously consider using this guy's helicopter to extract SF teams from hot LZ's. Just think of the lives that could be saved because the enemy would be laughing too hard to be able to shoot straight. :D

Mishaps aren't that bad when you plummet from a staggering 7 feet...
Worth 1000 words....just imagine the bus falling down a hill.

My name is Mr. Romba Djiboiti from Nairobi....I inherited $28 million dollars in escrow in a Nigerian bank....If you send me a cashier check for $25000, I will make you the benficiery of 10% money....I need the money to pay the fee for withdrawing with your help.....Hakunamatatah

Wow pretty good attempt. I just hope this kid doesnt kill himself in these machines. I would not get near that thing while its running.

I'd assume that ground effect is the reason it can even reach seven feet.

In reality this guy isnt much different from any of the pioneers of aviation. The Wrights went from building bicycles to building a plane that could potentially kill them, hes just .... 100 or so years too late to make any money off this.

How so? With a little investment, lots of hard work, and some good luck he could become Nigeria's first domestic aircraft manufacturer.

Or he could end up on a future list of Darwin award winners while Bell, Agusta, Mil, etc fill contracts for Africa's helicopter requirements.

He has a leg up on previous helicopter inventors/builders. He can look up helicopter aerodynamics and systems on the internet.
