I don't know about anyone else (hence the reason for this thread), but when I see a thread with a certain title, and it looks interesting or I am just curious about it, I open it with a few expectations. First, that the discussions contained therein are actually relevant to the topic. Second, that perhaps the individuals posting comments have a willingness and intent to be helpful to others here on AW. Sure some threads are for comedic purposes, or just because someone was bored and wanted to brew a firestorm of controversy (this post?), but I think this site is most valuable for the wide range of experiences and knowledge that can be shared for Naval Aviation enthusiasts, at least that's what I've used it for.

The purpose of this post was just to ask what are some of your favorite and most hated forum-isms?

Oh yeh, here's another one...when people post incomplete or fragmented sentences that don't make any sense and can't take the time to elaborate or defend their argument. :icon_rage

Whining...about how unfair and what a$$holes we all are...:sleep_125

Bad grammar....seriously...is it a huge deal? No...but it makes you look like a sack...

Having a thread locked and then the mods still post on it even though you can't respond.
Locking threads even though they are reposts. It might be a repost but most don't go looking at past threads to see if a video or joke has been posted before.
Yelling at people for not searching. Pretty much every topic here has the same key words (Pilot, NFO, Flight, school, etc). Searches yield too many results sometimes.
Having too many mods.
Discounting someones opinion just because they are new.

We need more drunk postings...lots of color in those.
MB, it's Friday! O-Club time!

People making a Naval Aviation website their own personal U-Tube, funny video, pop culture trash posting place.

Keep it relevant and I won't hack it right the F*ck out and close it. Keep doing it and I'll hack you right the F*ck out.

Think I'm just having a bad day? I'm deployed so of course I am.

Run on sentences....

This is one of the best illustrations of "irony" I've ever seen.

Hmmmmmm.....these, too.
