Combating TIP training AGAIN?!
Suck it up...if you fail Navy basic training than you are less of a man. As long as you aren't a pussy, then you should be fine. :)

You won't fail but you will be given some sort of remedial training until you meet standards. Short of malice, being a criminal, seriously breaking UCMJ it would be hard to get sent home.

But ask your recruiter...

i hate running 1.5 miles in 12.5 minutes, can anyone here do this?

How old are you? 12:30 is an eternity to run 1.5 miles. If you want to be in the Navy, drink a nice, tall, cold glass of Suck-It-Up and just do it. The rest of us sure did...

Quite frankly, I hate running. But I like flying for the Navy, and that means taking PRTs, so I run enough to where I'll have no issues passing the PRT.

A 12:30 mile and a half is the least of the bullsh*t you'll have to deal with in boot camp and the rest of the Navy. Almost everyone here can vouch for it...

Dude - relax. Talk to your recruiter but other than that do your best, do what your told, and keep a good attitude and you will be fine.

Well FWIW, I was running nearly a 14:00 1.5 mile run when I started.

It's honestly hard to get worse than that.

If you suck it up I'm sure you'll be fine. At 18, you can improve at a reasonable rate with training...which I'm sure boot camp will provide.

Hey man. Think of it this way. You have 12:30 to run 1.5 miles. Marines have 24:00(depending on age and sex) to run three.

I did my three mile in 19:45...

You can surely do 1.5 miles in 12:30. There is an Army guy in one of my classes, atleast 50 lbs overweight that's running that no problem.
