That's a hell of a drive to base though. Have fun with that.

I was a little worried when we moved in here at the beginning of June. But it's only 25-30 minutes.

And, if anything, it seems somewhat brisk having driven to Eglin every day at 0330 for IFS flights for two straight weeks.

Besides, down-time around here is a plenty (as we all know), and I'd rather have this location for my A-Pool waits than somewhere "more convenient" (read boring, close-to-base local ). All the bars are an $8 cab ride away. :icon_smil

From all the hurricane tracks I have seen and with it still being this far out, it never hits the predicted route.

Ernesto now a hurricane..track has it going more east to cross over Orlando and up to Jax. Looks like it wont hit near PCola.

We had to evacuate my OCS class for a hurricane. It did not effect our schedule.

Since Daytona Beach is now in the path of this monster (haha) , the MIDN here have already started planning the hurricane vacation (hurrication) party. I hope this sucker stays on course.
