Psyched for this board. Been working with my recruiter for over a year now and just submitted about a month ago for Intel-ISEL. I know it theoretically is rolling vs following the board dates, but just excited at the prospect of things moving along. Hoping for the best for everyone!

Same! Been working on my package for the past 2 years and the suspense is killing me. Keep looking at the spreadsheet to see if anyone updated anything haha. I just wonder the quotas available because I know someone who picked up CSWO last board, and I just hope they have the quotas to select every qualified person 🙃

Sheesh! Respect to your patience. One of the Ensigns I met on OHARP duty along the way also took about two years. I’m with you hoping!

Arbitrary question, but how did you qualify for I-SEL without a STEM major? Did your recruiter bring that up at all? I was told there is absolutely no leniency with the I-SEL requirements.

There are a few non-STEM degrees that are acceptable for Intel I-SEL.

I didn’t even know I qualified for ISEL till recently since I was originally focused on aviation. AT is a bachelors of science of course, albeit different than most traditional STEM majors

Nice! Curious, did your recruiter mention your timeline as I-SEL? Nobody on the spreadsheet has updated their status (though there aren't many I-SEL folks in the first place). With the board coming up, are you guys just being rolled in with the rest of us?

She did mentioned that I would likely be rolled in with this board. So far, that's holding true lol. I did get confirmation that my packet was under review by the program manager about a month ago. Not sure if that actually meant it's further ahead or not. My original recruiter is on maternity leave now and I haven't heard anything from my new one just yet besides acknowledging where I'm at. I'm still hoping that I (and all of us, really) hear back sometime between mid July to sometime in August

Happy to see another 29 y/o lo. And 70 on the OAR is CRAZY! Congrats!

Haha the 70 is to compensate for a totally useless double-major (unless y'all wanna talk books). Happy to know I won't be the only one at OCS (🤞) with crunchy knees... Agree that hearing by mid-July would be incredible. If you look over at the current SNA/SNFO board thread, the I-SEL folks appear to be hearing back much earlier than us normal applicants, so may be a good sign for you.

FormerRecruitingGuru said above that there's a chance the board will convene earlier than the 30th, which has given me so much (so far) false hope. My delusional dream was that NRC would think something along the lines of "Hmmm, we haven't convened an INTEL board in about a year, maybe we can meet a week or two early this time." Psych!
