01JUN26 SNA/SNFO board

Here’s the problem, he’s been here for years while you’ve been here for a hot minute. I’ve been part of this site for 24 years and he has dealt with all kinds of wannabes. His advice comes from experience.

We have seen it all, and you’ve highlighted yourself as someone who has it wired. His response to you was to get you to do your own homework, but it appears you don’t take anyone’s advice.

No response needed because it’s time to be quiet and listen.

Best of luck, because you are going to need it….and please enjoy the AirWarriors care package if you get into OCS.
Look, I asked a question about something I didn’t have the information on and he answered. I asked a follow up to clarify, and got “really?” as a response. That’s not helpful. As I said before, experience doesn’t mean anyone can put down others on here. I’ve got friends and family in military/law enforcement and none of them would have spoken in that manner.

The form I filled out about tattoos didn’t answer my specific question. That’s all. I know people on here ask some pretty obvious stuff, but I couldn’t find the information and asked if anyone had it.

I get the whole tough love thing Doc mentioned, but that’s not applicable online. Either be helpful or keep it moving, I think him and I can both take something from what went down. My feelings aren’t hurt and I’m not asking anyone to hold my hand, I just wanted a simple answer to a question. Someone else provided that answer and that’s that.

I’m not looking for a loophole, or trying to go against the rules, or ignoring advice, like y’all are claiming. I just asked for a simple answer. And to be honest, I was fine leaving it at Doc’s comment.

Recruiter said he spoke to the guy that reviews NFO/SNA packages.

He was told to review NFO packages first, which is why he completed them early.

He took leave, but he’s back now.

Straight from him, we should start hearing results this week, early next week for ISEL SNA packages.
That's good to hear. Patience is always king. Kinda weird how your package was done piecemeal, but it's just how it goes, I guess

My recruiter had also assumed that my NFO and SNA packages would have been reviewed simultaneously.

Apparently there were *less* NFO applicants than SNA to review, which is why they prioritized knocking those out first.

curious did you get a FINSEL letter with your NFO acceptance? or just a pro rec y

I was only told that my status on PRIDE showed “pass” for NFO, and that SNA has been “In Session” for weeks on-end. I haven’t received any memos/contracts for NFO.

Curiously, I was given an OCS date for NFO if I decided to go that route. It is unclear if that date would also be my OCS for SNA, or if I would be provided two different dates.

Sorry, this is gonna sound stupid probably, but is the review of packages for a select region, or is it basically everyone who is ISEL?

I'll text my recruiter on Wednesday/Thursday and see what's up, too - hopefully some of us hear something back by this week.

I would think it’s a national review, I’m not aware of multiple offices that handle specific regions.

I’m praying it isn’t another rug-pull, or that I find out something is wrong with my package.

But coming from the OCM, that’s about as official as it gets.

There has to be like 100+ SNA ISEL applications probably. I wouldn't get hopes up too high that everyone gets a slot unfortunately. However the June board not being cancelled yet is a good sign, because I can't see how someone on a board would get a billet over someone ISEL. Who knows how this stuff works anyways

I feel like there's no real way to guestimate how many applications are currently running for review. In an ideal world, I'd like everyone to get a slot but at the end of the day it's just supply and demand lol. I know there's a limited amount of space for ISEL, so if ISEL slots are full, those candidates are usually rolled over into the regular board process.

Anyways, just gonna assume that no news is good news for the time being

There’s the same amount of space for I-SEL as there are total street slots. If slots are full for street applicants then slots are full and all selection rolls over to the next fiscal year. The only time an I-SEL applicant gets rolled to a regular board is on rejection from I-SEL.

The way my recruiter phrased his discussion with the OCM implied he was confident all ISEL applicants would be reviewed soon, or at least those that submitted their applications are February/March
