USN What would you say is the order of competitiveness for planes coming out of flight school?

I probably worded the title poorly, but say you do horrible in API and Primary Flight Training, but still make it out as a pilot. What kind of plane would they give you. I understand that jets are the most competitive.

Also, is it common for Navy Aviators to get stationed on Air Force bases? I know on Kadena AFB, Okinawa, they have some who do.

Use the search function. In the meantime, short answers:

You can fly any airplane in the Navy inventory so long as you "pass" primary. However, for jets you need to be in at least in the 50th percentile.
It is pretty uncommon but still possible to be stationed at an AFB.

C. They don't "give you a plane." The man sends you where he needs to send you, horrible pilots don't "get" anything, they go home. Do some research.
