I am an O3 and plan to apply for return to active duty USN at next board. I also wonder if anyone knew if it is possible to perform any of the following:
Interservice transfer from USNR to active USA within the same specialty.
Interservice transfer from USNR to active USA flight training.
Interservice transfer from USNR to active USN flight training.
Probably best for me to stay in same specialty for career progression reasons vice starting over in aviation but have always wanted to pursue aviation and if there is a chance, would consider taking it. Age is becoming a factor for flight training (32 at this time) but I am sure there are waivers. Any guidance that is available would be much appreciated.
