Hello all. I recently had the pleasure of taking a trip to P-cole. While there my family and I went to the air meuseum. When they took us out on the line to dig the old planes i was noticing the pattern the T-34s where flying. I can't explain it but i was a corkscrew type menuever (almost like a diving spiral) rolling out on final. can someone please give some info on the standerd and nonstanderd traffic patterns?
Chris

take care thanks

Another possibility (particularly if the angle of bank was very steep) is the instructor "short break". Basically 80 degrees angle of bank at the numbers, idle, gear at the 90, and flare to land. Very tight corkscrew (at least for a bug smasher).
