Talk about some crappy formation......probably not a picture done for pictures sake though.

But it does allow for interlocking defensive fire!:D

And here's a couple I like (it is after all, a new day)

100_0214.jpg

Off the coast of Liberia en route to the USS Iwo Jima during the 26 MEU in 2003. I like it mainly because I'm at the controls (you can see my helmet barely), and it was my cherry HAC ride.

A Phrog from HMM(may she rest in peace, and find success as a VMM)-162 landing at the Al Qatranah Range, Jordan during the 26 MEU in 2005.

Call me a curmudgeon if you will, but I'm not impressed. Formation sucks, one guy has his hook up, yadda yadda yadda. Whatever happened to "lookin' good around the boat"?

All the best, Spike

Absolutely the first thought that entered my mind.

Naaaaahhh.... they look "O.K." .... it's just loose parade. Give 'em a break.

Tighten up when it counts -- relax when you can. That's if you wanna fly long and live long. :)

Now that's just a waste of a perfectly good Air-to-Air platform (F/A-18F). I guess you could drop a drop tank on a Bear or Badger! Gotta have my HAVAP!!

Here are some shots I took while on active duty in 04... they turned out so good, I just wish I had set the camera for a higher resolution.

Another PAO misidentification

Seems like triple bubble Super Bugs to travel in threesomes...but I don't think these are "Master Race" variants nor are they from VFA-31 either...methinks they look like Black Lions of VFA-213 (how's their form, Spike?)
