anywhere/thing interesting between alaska and the US border during that stretch of the route? i've been to the northwest area of the US, beautiful country...that is until you start to smell the hippies nearing san francisco.

Just like "turnpikes" and "toll roads". My friend from NJ freaked out when I mentioned the word "toll road".
