Hello,
I'm new here and not planning on being an aviator, but this forum was the closest thing I could find to one where I could get my questions answered. I am going to be signed up for BDCP soon and am going the Special Warfare Officer route. The question I have is: "is there any way I will be able to get a Navy PRK before BUD/S?" The activities in that training don't seem like the type that are compatible with glasses or contact lenses. I know pilots and special warfare designators get top priority on getting corrective eye surgery but is that only after completion of training or before? If so, how should I go about locating a civilian doctor for PRK, and get the surgery waivered through the service?
Any comments or suggestions would help, thanks!
