I have been reading a lot about the selection process for pilots, i.e. how many guys get the Hornet, how many get the Tomcat and so on. Could anybody shed some light as to the numbers for Flight Officers? It is my understanding that as an NFO you first choose either the Maritime pipeline or the Carrier Aviation pipeline. If you go Maritime, are you pretty much gauranteed P-3s, or are there usually 1 or 2 slots for the EP-3 and the E-6? If you go Carrier, how many guys get the F-18, F-14, S-3, EA-6B, and how many unfortunate souls must go E-2? Any info on this would greatly be appreciated by all us future Flight Officers!
Thanks,
