Hello all, looking for some help. Recently stumbled across some equipment from what I believe to be a Huey. Possibly some F-4 phantom gear as well. Just wondering if you fine people could help me identify any of it. Thanks in advance.

Looks like UH-1 stuff - cyclic for sure. A little clean up and would be fun to assemble a small display

Thanks for the feedback. Any idea if people collect this kind of stuff or if it’s worth anything?
The stick and seat for sure. Not so much for the instrument panel or radio box. I'm certain there are a plethora of museums that would love a donation. Two come to mind: Midway Museum (San Diego) and Naval Aviation Museum (Pensacola).

I am currently leading the restoration of a UH-1B Gunship for a chapter of the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation. All the above is correct. You have Huey parts. The seat is armored, that makes it particularly valuable. But you don't have all the side panels. You can see a complete armored seat I helped restore. I am grateful for your picture because we had some notion of the instructions on the back of the seat, but couldn't find the complete verbiage.

It all has value to the right people. Large museums are not particularly helpful in this regard. There is a group of a few dozen from other small time restoration projects to small museums that trade in parts to complete their projects. Most of our parts have come from our founding chapter near ATL, but we have scrounged much. We are nearing the end of our project, but months ago I would have traded or paid (not much) for most of your inventory. We traded for a better instrument panel, and some seat parts. Also a cyclic grip. Maybe we can still use the radio boxes. I think we have some open space. PM me with all the details on the avionics boxes. In the mean time I will ask out parts guy if he knows anyone that needs any of your stuff. 20180908_130204.jpg20180828_131743.jpg20180911_131714.jpg

Interesting about the seat. OP's seat is black. Our original armor was black too. But all the seats including the armor in Vietnam were green. The black came some years after the war when they started using NVGs. Same with the panel. OP's panel is black, as was ours. We restored it to grey, the original color when delivered to Vietnam.

Our Huey is #64-13986 from the 282nd Assault Helicopter Company. The Alley Cats. In country roughly 67-68, Marble Mountain. Documented combat damage on 16 separate missions. Over 40 individual hits. Actually shot down twice and recovered. No crew KIAs, 2 WIA. On the second shoot down it was a "theater loss" shipped back to Corpus to be repaired. Was retired from the LA Guard. It was so corroded and lacking a data plate it will be a museum piece. Debut will be a local veterans day parade on November 12th.

At one time I had planned to make a wall hanging out of A-4M instruments. This is as far as I got.
