Helo missions in the Navy

I am ignorant to the missions done by Navy helos. I know there are B, F, and H model
H-60's, and there are H-53's, and H-46's. Can someone please enlighten me on their various missions, what typical flights are like, etc.?. Also, how long does it take to get upgraded to the left seat in helos vs. lets say a P-3 or E-2?

Thanks for the info. This gives me a whole lot of insight beside the general stuff that they tell you on the Navy factfile websites. I never would have guessed about the HC squadron guys living like that! Thanks again!
