Going to NROTC. I am I hopeless?

Notes to add:
1) NROTC units vary widely with PT. Your physical shape is such that you shouldn't have much to worry about. However, if it's a really big concern to you, look into NROTC units at places like VMI, TX A&M, or the Citadel. These programs are 24/7 much like the Academies. You will PT an insane amount and will have no worries passing the commissioning physical. TX A&M is much like taking the Citadel or VMI and dropping it into a 43,000 member civilian school. (more coeds)
2) Most NROTC units have some type of remedial swim program as you will have to pass a swim test for commissioning. However, you will be on your own preparing for the API swim requirements.
3) You don't have to get a scholarship for NROTC. You could go as a college programmer and move to advanced standing later to get a stipend. If you do all the things e6bflyr mentioned and do them well, you could find yourself picking up a NROTC scholarship later in your NROTC career.
