Constructive Service Credit

Hello,

This is my first post.. I checked the search bar for Constructive Service Credit (and similar) and there's not much info on here besides a topic about officer promotion overhaul. This is surprising, since I thought it would be a hot topic. I have NOT talked to a recruiter about this yet.

What is the Navy doing about constructive service credit when commissioning for non-health professionals? Has it been implemented? Is it common?

If a position doesn't require the specialized training/education possessed by the applicant, such as aviator, would it still be counted?

Thanks!

Haven't heard of it happening for URL communities (i.e. Aviation, SWO, Nuke, SEAL). Maybe that will change, but I doubt there is much incentive for it to. Plenty of eligible applicants to be had at traditional ENS pay starting out.

This is such a niche area (Cyber) that it's not really worth discussing.

No, it shouldn't be surprising to you, since that is the explicitly stated purpose.

The only officers I’ve seen commission above O-1 are medical or chaplain. I’m unconvinced it should extend to cyber.
