Curious about something. Has anyone with less then perfect vision (still within 20/40 standards) been accepted as SNA and been to OCS? Then gotten PRK afterwards before API started? I've read the NOMI guidelines and it makes this whole question pretty clear for preapplicants and for guys who are already pilots in the fleet. My question is for people who are in stash jobs in the navy waiting to class up for API and start the flight program. Anyone have firsthand knowledge of this or been in a similar situation?

I wouldn't recommend it. If you're correctable and in standards now, all you have to do is wear glasses. With PRK, you run the risk of getting night vision problems.
