I did a quick search for "moderators" and I found one thread about a super moderator and the other threads dealt with random references to moderators. I'm still confused about who is and who isn't so I apologize for any random private messages.

I have a couple of questions but I don't know if there is a certain protocol, i.e., some moderators deal with this issue and others deal with that.

    Thanks and Happy Holidays.

I try to live by the old adage:

We are (mostly) professional or retired Naval Aviators and NFOs and their spouses who keep the site somewhat under control and on topic. Mods have mostly become Super Mods by now. We can edit posts and threads and ban people. Admins have red stars and are the big Kahunas. Gatordev, Steve, Machine and Web-san are the only admins.

Thanks. I guess I should have clarified myself but I was wondering if there was a list and if some moderators handled certain areas or what-not.

But now that I know you are one, may I send you a PM?

Ahh... let me just throw it out there:

If I gave someone reputation points, can I take them away later? Not saying this is the case for me but I am curious to know the answer.

Thank you for that answer. Now I have another one.

Why did some of my user CP comments disappear?

Why not just give that person negative rep for another post? That will offset your positive rep. :D

Do they not require knowledge of the Constitution anymore to graduate law school? :devil_125

Pretty much they do but they don't require us to know Steve Wilkins's version.

I guess its a mystery as to what happened with those comments. Maybe they expired.

If you're referring to the latest reputation comments received/given - only the last 25 received and the last 10 given are visible.

Well, this is odd indeed because all of the reputation comments pretaining to one thread have all disappeared.

If a post/thread is deleted, the points remain (positive or negative) but the comments are gone. The "Universal Health Care" thread had some work done on it so the poll could be added. That's probably what you're talking about.

Nah, I can't take credit for having a version. I didn't write it. But I've done my best to try to understand its meaning through the eyes of the people who did. Con law books are great. I've read them too. But they too often neglect the deep historical perspective of this nation's beginnings. This is understandable given the nature of con law courses. But it doesn't make the history go away or void our responsibility to understand it.

As in that other thread, there are numerous ways to interpret even the most simplest of sentences. However, the sentences in the Constitution are not simple due to the ramifications of the words and their meaning. I completely agree with you; a person has to understand the context of why the words were written and people have to also acknowledge that those words were written with a specific audience in mind.

You seem pretty concerned about rep points Quagmire...as well you should be!

Rumor has it that whoever has the most when it's all said and done becomes the official king of the internet and will gain the special ability to not receive penis enlargement e-mails.
