A month slow because I needed a second shot at the boat along with 4 of my classmates. Rough boat, I guess.

Saw this thread doing a search and figured it might be a good one to call back. As a recent wingee, here is my breakdown:

    Commissioned: March 2008
    API: April - June 2008
    Primary (Corpus): July 2008 - Jan 2009
    Advanced (Meridian): Mar 2009 - Apr 2010
    Winged Apr 2010

Overall, 25 months from butter bars to wings, which is a little faster than average

    Primary (Vance): Feb 09-Aug 09
    Advanced(Corpus): Nov 09-Apr 10

    Winged Apr 10

API to wings 17 months which is pretty quick as well. I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time. Backups in primary and advanced began shortly after I left both places.

Check in to NASC Oct 08.
    IFS Nov 08-Jan 09.
    API Jan 09-Mar 09.
    NFO Primary April 09-August 09.
Check into VP-30 Sept 09, class up Nov 09.
Wings April 10, will check into my fleet squadron next month.

Your times may vary. A girl in my IFS class managed to class up ahead of me for everything and winged at VP-30 3 months before I did. Also, me being at the end of the alphabet didn't help for classing up as well, ergo my check in at VP-30 in Sept and not classing up till Nov.

Stashed at USNA till October '08 (completed IFS too)
    Checked in NASC OCtober '08
    API Nov '08-Jan '09
    Primary Feb-May '09
    Intermediate May-July '09
    Advanced October '09-May '10
Two years exactly from commissioning to wings, but the summer stashed at USNA and the three months between intermediate and advanced killed me. 16 months time to train without the waiting. I'm going prowlers though, so add another two months for growler/rhino nfos for the advanced strike fighter syllabus. Also, my wait time for advanced was pretty atypical, average wait time is about a month now.

Commissioning to Fleet will be just shy of 4 years. Never went med down or rolled out of a class, just a lot of down time between training.

More "Ancient History": (as best as I can figure my log book out!)

    NAVCAD Class 14-61

    Preflight: P'Cola Mainside Mar '61 - Jul '61
    Primary: T-34 @ Saufley Aug '61 - Sep '61
Basic: T-28 @ Whiting Oct '61 - May '62 (Inc Initial CQ and Date of Rank)
    Advanced: T-28 & AD-6 Corpus Jun '62 - Sep '62 (Inc CQ, Commissioned, &Winged)

    VA-45 RAG (JAX) T-28 & A1H Oct '62 - Mar '63
VA-35 (Fleet) JAX Mar '63...Immediate departure for my first seven
    month Med cruise

Perfectly average pace for the time and pipeline...no delays at all...

So, from Preflight to fleet...two years to the month...

    One funny note:

I, like most/all my contemps out of AD's at Corpus at that time, was initially PCS'ed to "PLOWBACK"...back to P'Cola for one year IP duty...while on leave in Boston area, a few days after winging, rx'ed a phone call from my detailer...informed this brand new "Butter Bar" that if I could be in JAX within 48 hours...he'd send me to an Attack Squadron!! I made it in less than 24!!!
With the new wife and kid...[IMG] Far as I know, the rest went back...

Intentional? I heard rumors that for a while VT-2 only had helo guys coming out of there and there are some patches around that had the 'screwer birds' on them.

    Commissioned: Dec '07
    API: May-Jul '08
    Primary: VT-2 Sep '08-June '09
    Advanced: HT-18 Sep'09-May'10

22 months API to wings. Was considered slow, but I think the guys right after me are about to get hosed by rudder pedals in the t-34 wrt time to train.

Quite :) ... and if anyone is interested in the infamous "HT-2 Screwerbirds" patch, I still have plenty ... every time I wear it, I seem to sell one or two (and not always to helo guys!) since so many people had a rough ride in that squadron ... it looks just like the offical VT-2 patch, but it says HELTRARON TWO SCREWERBIRDS and the black bird has a rotorbeanie on his head.
