what is considered a Technical Degree?

Hi,

I was wondering what designates a degree as technical. Are all degress that are BS technical and BA are non-technical?

All engineering degrees. Computer science related dregrees. Applied Math And I think that is it. Don't worry, someone will correct me if I am missing something.

As far as BDCP I think that your recruiter can fight for a technical-degree as long as you take a some calculas & physics... at least thats what the deal was when I was stashed at Jax NRD.

MIS=Management Information Systems? If so I don't think it's technical. There's a post from a couple of months ago that lists out the specific degrees that are considered technical. Basically if your degree is heavily concentrated in math and science then you're good. All others are non-technical, including all business degrees. Do a search and see if you can find that post... it lists out every degree that is "technical."

I have a CIS (Computer Info. Systems) degree, and that was considered technical for BDCP. It was also out of the Business College. I always figured if it was a BS degree, it was considered technical.

Computer science is probably technical. Find that post I mentioned earlier or call your recruiter to find out for sure.
