Ladies and Gentlemen,
As you know, a T-34C crashed in Alabama on Friday. Major Yaggy and his student were killed in the crash. This is a forwarded email from the CO of VT-6 regarding a trust fund in support of Major Yaggy's daughter Elizabeth. This is not a solicitation of any sort. Many of you read the story and generally feel some sort of loss and wonder "what could you do to help." The answer is nothing, normally. It is a helpless feeling. If you are interested, here is your way to help out a warrior's family in time of need. There is one truth to aviation, accidents do happen and this will not be the last. It never gets any easier.

Subject: Elizabeth Yaggy trust fund
Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of the Yaggy family, I ask that you make public to your Sailors,
Marines, Guardsmen, Airmen, and civilian employees that donations to
Elizabeth Yaggy, daughter of Major David and Erin Yaggy, may be made via the
Air Warrior Courage Foundation, a registered charity of the Red River Valley
Fighter Pilots Association better known as the "River Rats." The Rats have
created a trust fund for Elizabeth, donated $1000, and encourage you to
contribute. 100% of your donations will go to Elizabeth.
Donations may be made in three ways:
1. By online credit card donation. Direct donation link at:
www.AirWarriorCourage.org When making an online donation, include a comment
in the remarks that the donation is intended for the Yaggy family.
2. By check made out to AWCF, with a remark designating the Yaggy family as
the intended beneficiary and mailed to:
AWCF
PO Box 1553
Front Royal, VA 22630-5627
3. I will come to you and forward your donation to the AWCF.
The AWCF is an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.
Elizabeth's benefits will be tax-free, your donations are tax deducible, and
you will receive a thank you letter & tax exemption information from AWCF.
Information regarding the Rats may be found at: http://www.river-rats.org/
I would be more than happy to answer any questions regarding the AWCF or the
River Rats.
