I'm in the same camp, and I haven't even been married yet. Just having a kid has given me enough insight to know I ain't getting into anything that doesn't have an escape hatch, a self-inflating life raft, and a catche of signal flares as part of the package.

Sadly a growing subspecies of man (heterosexual?) confined to the west coast.

Personally ... I prefer the new "counter-culture wave" of RETROSEXUALITY ... i.e., we comprise the resistance; the polar opposite of those who possess a strong aesthetic sense and spend a great amount of time and money on their appearance and lifestyle and who are "campy, but straight" .... a.k.a. "metrosexuals".

To cement the deal, I am "not campy", but I am straight ...

I believe this is a lingering after effect of divorce for a man. I am guessing that you are probably somewhere between the "all women are whores" stage and the "I am going to fu*k anything that moves" stage.
I don't have any hard stats, but I have several friends who have been through divorces. I would say that upwards of 70% were in a serious relationship and considering remarraige (all with much better looking, smarter, and cooler women I might add) within a couple of years.

As the famous saying goes, "Why is divorce so damn expensive? Because it is worth it!"

Have fun being single, but I would be willing to bet some Hamiltons that you will be eating those words later.

I had to do a little research to see what that was all about. "emo" is apparently a "thing"...for all who are interested, here's a definition from urbandictionary.com..figured I'd share, get everyone up to speed on what the latest modes of pussification actually are...and how I was right about the laws of nature winning the day..

An entire subculture of people (usually angsty teens) with a fake personality. The concept of Emo is actually a vicious cycle that never ends, to the utter failing of humanity, and it goes something like this:

1. Girls say they like "sensitive guys" (lie)
2. Guy finds out, so he listens to faggy emo music and dresses like a dork so chicks will see that he is sensitive and not afraid to express himself (lie). He dyes his hair black, wraps himself in a stupid looking scarf, develops an eating disorder, and rants about how "nobody understands".
3. Now an emo guy, he meets Emo chick and they start dating, talking about how their well-off suburban lifestyles are terrible and depressing (lie)
4. Emo guy is just too much of a pussy. His penis is too small, he's too depressed to bathe, and has more mood swings than emo chick, and he doesn't even have a menstrual cycle. Emo chick dumps him, saying "It's not you, it's me." (lie) as she drives off with Wayne, the school jock and captain of the football team.
5. Emo guy goes home and cries, proceeds to write a weak song and strum a single string on his acoustic guitar. Another emo chick sees how he is so in touch with his feelings, and the cycle continues.

This is the sad truth of the emo lifestyle/music, and now that I look at how pathetic it really is, maybe the emos DO have something to cry about!
When she sees how sensitive and emo I have become, she'll definately go out with me!
