The Great Flight Jacket Thread (wearing/buying Leather, NOMEX, WEP jackets/patches)

Note 2: The G-1 performed flawlessly as usual, however, the borrowed electric snowblower did not perform well:
  • The snow chute exhaust adjustment linkage fell apart (not shown in video).
  • Maneuvering around the electric cord proved to be cumbersome (shown in video).
Must be something about older ladies and those electrics. My mom's got one and I never use it - throws snow like a blower from the airport though.

S I ended up taking my jacket into Biker's Depot in Virginia Beach. They put the squadron patch on, plus added the side pockets with lining, just in time for temps to dip into the 40s around here. Highly recommended, but a bit pricey ($85 for the pockets and patch sewing).

Just got this done at the same place. Turned out great and there were at least 10 jackets waiting to get done each time I went. $70 for just pockets.

Spend some of that Delta money on this.
Pretty sweet jacket, SynixMan.

I have to put that money towards race tires for my road racing bicycle...the race tires are $100 a pop...and I need 4 of them. Our road race season starts in a few weeks.

Also, I wouldn't be allowed to purchase that jacket anyway since it's only available to current military members.

Guessing because of the IR tabs. Unless you're an Army/Marines helo pilot at a FOB, what would be the point of those?

Old Navy flight jackets...$55.

What do you think?

I think they're pretty cheesy looking (compared to my CWU-36/P)...but I'm sort of biased since I'm from Wisconsin.
