I was only along to take pics lol I'm in the rear seat of Dash-2, 316.
You must have done something right to get an incentive ride during an airshow.
Wing guy, asked Radio if he would mind if I rode along, take pics. I wanted to see how it went to so if I end up flying one but then again, only lead needs to know how as the rest of em just hang on.
I see what you did there... Well played.
Looks like other world, alien hover craft to me
BzB, I think what Helolumpy was getting at is that if the mission is to give the incentive ride, it's not a big deal (CO depending, of course). But if the mission is to do something else other than just the incentive ride, it's not authorized...at least in the helo community.
Now if they're in the back, somewhat different story.
First time I've ever noticed what strange landing gear the T-45 has, especially the mains.
Kind of remind me of F-18 landing gear...just going off looks.
its almost like they both get slammed into flight decks with some level of regularity...
I almost said as much, but I figured I should get back to coloring. Which I will continue to do now.
That's what I was thinking as well.
Are those dents in the nose? Seems like they would want to knock them out before they go airshowing.
Catmando, betcha your FAC wouldn't have been so disappointed had you arrived on station with one of these gunpaks on your Pfantum's snotlocker! What an awesome antitank/personnel weapon. Sure kicked butt on the infamous road of death to end the '30-second war' in Iraq!
EDIT: See above.
Kinda looks like Shortbus's nose....wrong branch though
It's from the boom of the tanker. Our jets get dinged by them every once and awhile.
That's what you get when someone else refuels the jet.
Taken this morning from East Potomac Park
Waiting for that aviation blogger from the "EP-3 over Libya" thread to weigh in on that pic.
"Here is what is clearly a secret USAF space shuttle about to be launched from either the E-4B NEACAP or YAL-1 Airborne Laser aircraft, with a fighter escort to shoot down any Chinese attack satellites that try to interfere."
