I watched the tail fall off of a 53 in Sig back in 02 after a hard landing/bounce back into the air. Can confirm it was no bueno. Parts flying everywhere and people scurrying out of the dying helo as it beat itself to death on the ground.

My nugget cruise roommate was the skipper of that squadron at the time....

^think this is the HM bubbas in Kuwait doing a gunnex and they ended up killing a prince’s prized camels when they wandered onto the range. Was a while ago.

I think it was HC-4 during their short lived tactical stint.
