Wow. Right after this picture, those guys were probably sitting around talking about how hardcore their SULE II attack was at their 10-week deployment in TA-3.

that's the plaque my tbs class dedicated in 2008 at our forty year reunion.one name on the plaque, ron davidson was my ocs bunkie. at the reunion his widow and daughter were in attendence. she had never met her father. i did the best i could to tell her my memories of him.

see photo below. taken 9 nov, '67, the day before we got commissioned.
he's the big guy about 2nd from left middle row (white tee shirt, stickin' his chest out). we called him 'plant life'. he went recon, of course. three other guys in the photo were also kia in '68.

btw, i was down there last week with two other TBS classmates to dedicate a g 2/7 memorial. this photo with don duval, me and matt henderson was taken at the plaque you photographed. don and matt were both platoon commanders with golf 2/7.
