Between 1968 and 1972, nine American spacecraft voyaged to the Moon, and 12 men walked upon its surface. IN THE SHADOW OF THE MOON brings together for the first, and possibly the last, time surviving crew members from every single Apollo mission that flew to the Moon along with visually stunning archival material re-mastered from the original NASA film footage.

This looks like it will definitely be worth seeing. I've always admired those astronauts from the Gemini, Mercury, and Apollo programs. It took real stones to do what they did.

See this link for a trailer.

Should be cool for a space geek like me. I liked Ron Howard's other space stuff... "Apollo 13" and "From the Earth to the Moon" on HBO.

Add "The Right Stuff" to that list and you're set. They don't get to the moon but it covers the X-1 to the end of Mercury. From there "From the Earth to the Moon" tells the rest.

Saw it today; excellent movie - it's all narrated by the surviving lunar astronauts and they're very engaging.

In case you weren't there, Gene Cernan was the guest speaker at this year's Hook. Just FYI.
