True or not (highly unlikely for a one-off flight), that wouldn't be CAG's call to make.

Thanks Brett.

Amazingly, there was very moderate report about that flight. Both Russian pilots expressed an opinion that the landing on US carrier is much easier than on Kuznetsov and the LSO's work on America was excellent. Actually that's all interesting in that report... Maybe they thought then this all isn't important since machinery disaster of a carrier (total fail of all boilers while anchored off Malta for two days resulted in almost grounding due to the current drift) had created the top brass' opinion ship should be sold and stricken after returning to base...

People,

Why retired Hornet pilot and fanfic author Bob Norris stated that retired VADM Jerry Tuttle is "Rickover in tailhook world"? Kinda "father of some innovations"? I found out just TACAMO project under his belt but it is both sensitive and beyond tailhook realm. What else?

Why not email the author? I'm sure someone at Fancy Bear can find it for you.

I think he was having fun referring to the Doolittle Raid.
