Pilot/NFO Board FY 19- Oct. 2, 2018

I am in the same boat as is mentioned above. Submitted packet for the board minus N33 letter. Went to MEPS back in mid-June and now still waiting to see if they will get it but I am not going to hold my breath. If they do not get it, I will be resubmitting my packet for the February board.

I just got my PQ letter finally, and my recruiter said I was approved for the October board. It's possible that you may still make it next Tuesday.

Hello all,
I am starting this thread for the Pilot/NFO board that will be taking place Oct. 2, 2018. This will be the first board for FY-19. I will post my stats below and welcome others to do the same, maybe we can get someone to start an excel sheet. Anyways, feel free to post questions, concerns, or anything else involving this board. Packages are due in a few weeks so I assume that anyone putting in for this board is either finished with their package or pretty close to it. Good luck to you all!!

Hey guys, I took the ASTB about a month ago, and I'm studying to take it again soon but I just want to put my scores out there.
60/6/4/5
Bachelor's in Writing, 3.72 GPA
I'm gunning for NFO, but I know my last 2 scores won't quite make it. I bought a joystick and a copy of IL-2 Sturmovik to practice though.

Hey all, just wanted to thank the community here for all the good info. Recruiter told me today that he's going to have to drop my packet for the 2 Oct board because of my age, I'm trying to see what I can do as a Hail Mary. But it just really really sucks to spend the last 2 years trying to make this happen only to be told I'm too old. Best of luck ya'll

You should have been shipped out by last month to make the cutoff.

Got word from my recruiter that I actually won't be going before this board. Another four months of waiting, but so long as I get selected it doesn't matter.

Thanks for the reply, I know super frustrated. I'm currently trying to contact the Program Manager and see if I can make a lottery attempt at a waiver. I'm going to fight this to the bitter end.

Don’t be surprised if they ignore your emails since it’s only the OR that should be going through them.

Also, I’ve never seen an age waiver get approved for someone without prior/current enlisted service. It’s actually not even entertained because it’s specially mentioned in the PA.

Thanks for prepping me on the reality of it. Again it's a lottery shot but it is not technically impossible? Just frustrated that it took me all this time to get my packet ready only to be told I'll age out. Thanks again RUFiO181

I saw guys who were rolled at OCS and that roll made them go over the age limit, they had to redesignate.

I did have a candidate who was selected, but due to the USN screwing up on shipping aged out, but was given a waiver, they said the only reason a waiver was given was that they had already been given a Pro Y, a FINSEL was issued but had to be retracted due to NRC error, then re-issued but it was for a much later date.

Thanks NavyOffRec, maybe I can try to argue MEPs taking 4 months can get me some kind of leniency. It's just going to be a big soul searching weekend looking at what the other communities are like. But still praying for a miracle.
