http://theaviationist.com/2012/04/13/ep-3e-derna/ First off silly man, EP-3's don't fly at "high altitude".
http://theaviationist.com/2011/09/26/e-6b/ Got another off this guys site. Pretty entertaining stuff.
"And you sir, are a chucklehead!" Love this. It's like an aviation tabloid. In other news, 6 Cessna 172's were airborne in Spain at the exact moment of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Coincidence?
Oh man... looking at the flight path tracks on that website I was just struck by a terrible realization... . . . Now everyone on the internet can see when you are trying to hold and you mess up your entry orbit! I'm just not sure I can handle the anguish of wondering whether bloggers will criticize me for picking teardrop instead of parallel.
I think not...no one will ever know...or appreciate...the incalculable contribution of the Spanish Cessnas towards the effort of faking the moon landings. Unfortunately...black helicopters now have your IP address. Way to go...
In the pic posted, the body of the aircraft in question looks long like an IL-38, not short and stubby like a P-3
Because we're some mysterious operating force full of coverups and dark secrets, and everything we do must have a top secret mission related reason to it.
At least he's honest enough to admit he dismisses mundane explanations becuase they're "far less interesting".
Or you can just ask for manuevering airspace and make it a direct entry. Holding is for the birds. Pilot: "Hey, lets practice bleeding." Co-Pilot: "Gee, that sounds nifty. Lets do it."
Holding = Multi-Engine (Land) PIC or 2P flight time in your logbook. There are worse things in this world...
You guys do realize that the different holding entries are only recommended procedures. You can enter anyway you want and the airspace is equally protected on both sides of the holding radial. To me, there is no such thing as outbound parrallel. It's either direct-ish or a tear-ish drop.
Heads just exploded at this notion. How could I enter holding without holding my hand up to the HSI? It'd be like doing a point to point without using a pencil.
