She's a beaut!
Thanks! Remarkably little wear on frame rails and barrel hood. Still locks up tight and no rattling of slide on frame. Barrel lands and grooves all look good. Its been a great shooter - strictly a competition and fun gun at this point. A simple Gen 4 G19 is my primary defensive weapon that goes in my briefcase and car.

Can't beat a Kimber. This is my everyday duty gun, and it's a tack driver. Mine has a little be more wear evident, but I think it has held up well.

In all honesty, If I was actually in the field everyday and subject to being out in the rain on a regular basis, I would probably carry a Glock. My plan is to get an Ed Brown and carry that prior to retirement. I've got at least 4 more years to go, so I have time to make it happen.20181008_143815.jpg

Is anyone else thinking about springing for the new M17 now that Sig has released to public? Looks like it can be had for around $600 street price - my local Sig dealer has quite a few...

Possibly. It would be a great range and defensive pistol. Perfect for any Red Dawn type home invasions.

Meh. Not a fan of FDE. Maybe the Nitron compact.

The appeal of having the exact service pistol - as issued. Full Size M17.

I bought the P320 (Civilian version) last spring and I love it. I just wish they released the M17 earlier so I could have purchased that model. I know that there isn't much difference between the two so I would definitely recommend it. I've put upwards of 2000 rounds through mine so far without any malfunctions and I carry it almost everyday.

Nice write up on EO Tech - factory tour Part 1 and Part 2 -

I am frustrated with my AimPoint - as my 54 year old eyes render the dot now as a smudge of three dots! I understand EOTech HWS's are immune from this.

BTW the President of EO Tech is a Hornet dude (and USNA grad and a watch guy with cool vintage Speedy) - good guy - although he has not come through with free review units for AW'ers - I will ping him on that.

Didn't want to create a new thread for this - but I suspect a EOTech is in my purchase queue for my carbine.

@Gatordev is the AimPoint still something you are sticking with?

We just picked up a M2 propane firing weapon for one door mount of the UH-1B Gunship my Army Aviation Heritage Foundation chapter is completing restoration of. It looks authentic. I thought it was a real de-miled weapon. Barrel even has rifling. But when I opened the top cover I then noticed it was missing parts and had a spark pug screwed into the chamber. The other door will have a bungee mount M60. The M60 is an awesome all metal replica air soft gun, just $440. It even has real (not live) ammo in the exposed belt. Will send photos when we have it all mounted up. M-40 Grenade launcher is already installed. Rocket pods and guns to go this weekend. Will debut in a Veteran's Day parade on Nov 12th and be loaned to the Commemorative Air Force Museum at Air Base Arizona, Mesa AZ.
