If he's having issues with the gut, there's not too much to do in a week or so. However, he can make his neck swell to help raise that measurement. One or two days before the rope and choke, just start having him push on his hand in all directions with his head, kind of like neck pt.

I'd be willing to bet he's never really worked his neck before, so it'll swell a bit. I saw several guys do it all night before I went to MEPS for boot camp(my roommate included) and he raised his neck size a 1/2 inch.

Changing the neck will cause a bigger change in the pfa than trying to lose some off the gut.

This...is...Caketown!
... thanks for filling me in.

Was saying that in reference to Prep H intentionally funny? :)

Ya know, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned liposuction yet...if he's on a budget, he could always use a tire stem and a Shop Vac.

well guys thanks for the advice, we weighted in early luckily he pulled it off. this weekend we were running 2 miles 3 times a day with cling-wrap on his stomach and ate nothing but fruit. it was a little crazy, probably unsafe but he got down to 22% body fat, but I think there a stipulations, I am not sure but i think he has to get good lows in every category, is this true?

No. At 22% he made it. From 22-26% he would have to get the good lows. Above 26% he fails regardless of pfa scores.

Whaaaaaat? I have been over the instruction many times and the cutoff for males is 22%. Unless the member recieves an outstanding, then the CO has the option of extending it out to 23%.

Or you could spend 30 seconds in the OPNAV via google and get the correct information (which is what I was trying to get the OP to do in the first place). :icon_roll

Anywho....from OPNAV 6110.1H Encl (6) para 5 (c) (Electronic Page 49):

For personnel who score an overall “Outstanding” or “Excellent” on the PRT, with no single event scored below “Good”, COs are authorized to waive BCA criteria up to the DOD maximum standard of twenty-six percent (males) and thirty-six percent (females). Members must present a professional, military appearance to be eligible for consideration.

......it's so easy even a Marine can do it :icon_wink
