DD form 2807 has to be 90 days old or less. DD form 2808 has to be 1 year or less. According to the fleet applicant checklist generated by CNRC. Has anyone encounter something different?

Also, i have read on his in some place that you can turn in your OCS application prior to actually recieving all your credits for your Bachelors degree as long as you can show that you will complete it within a certain time. Is this true for AD personnel or do you have to complete everything first.

AD have to have to have been awarded the degree, NRC will reject an application from an AD person who doesn't have it awarded.

From my understanding, you only need to turn in your transcripts, so you don't need to wait for a diploma from the school. As long as the degree requirements are met, you are good to go. If you are almost done with your degree, I don't see why your command won't let you route your package all the way up and let you swap out your unofficial transcript with your official transcript once you receive it, before finally mailing it off.

To clarify, to NRC degree awarded is the transcript that says "degree awarded XX/XX/XX" NRC doesn't care about the actual diploma

I completed my commissioning physical yesterday but the doctor was unsure about signing my tatoo screening and anthropometric measurements. Who has the authority to sign these documents? I'm active duty Navy but the branch health clinic usually only deals with enlisted students and no aviators.

Where are you at because any doc should be able to complete that. It's funny reading your signature cause it's almost identical to mine. I'm e6 w/ almost 7 years. I'm at a instructor command and am MTS qualed. I haven't taken my ASTB yet, I'm waiting to hear from local recruiter on a date to setup a test. And I'm working on the same degree. I should be finished with mine in September next year. Good luck brother. Looks like you are some stiff competition

I thought the same thing when I saw your stats. I'm in Pensacola at NATTC. I got everything taken care of now. I'll only need a new dd 2807-1 because mine will expire about a week before the board is scheduled to convene. I knew this ahead of time but wanted a head start in case there were any medical hiccups.

Is there any specific form that LOR's need to be on or is that just for interviews? Just to clarify, the 6 month out from graduation is only for civilians and I cannot submit a package until I have my degree in hand?

Only the interviews need to be on the specific form. For the LORs there is a template in the Navy Correspondence manual if I remember correctly, but they're not anything outlined in the OCS instruction.

I'm not sure about turning the package in before you have your degree in hand. I waited until I had it entered on my SMART (or whatever it is called now) to back up my school transcript.

Lawless, have you taken the ASTB yet? If so, post your scores... including a projected GPA, if/when available.:)

Thanks for the advice. I called my NRD in New Orleans and they put me in contact with a local officer recruiter chief and he basically told me he can't help me because I'm not a civilian going in. He doesn't know the active duty to officer side of the program and can't really help me and said that my command career counselor is the one to help me... Only crappy thing is that my CCC knows less than I do about the programs because he isn't an NC and he hasn't been to CCC school. So I'm basically flying solo here and having to fly by the seat of my pants on this. Thankfully I have a buddy who just finished flight school and the whole process so I can talk to him a little.

I have had the same issue. The OR here said he could give me guidance but could officially bring me to his office and start a package. Im in the same boat with having to fly solo with putting my package together as well. My CCC's are not too familiar with the pilot program as they are the MECP programs. I was emailed this link with most of the forms that will be needed for the package. You may have already seen this but if not hopefully it will get your ball rolling a little easier. I can email you the other info that I was emailed that contains the checklist and the instructions for officer programs if you dont already have them.

BzB. I scored a 6/7/6 54. I think they are not half bad scores for my first time. And right now my project GPA is around a 3.8. But that is a question I have. I'm going to embry riddle and my GPA there is a 3.8 but I have some other transfer credits from two other schools. Those GPAs are like a 3.5 and a 3.2. But when I look at my transcripts for embry riddle, it's showing them as just transfer credits and they are not weighed into my GPA. My question is since I'm Turing in those other transcripts are the board members going to look at my other schools GPA and then weigh it against the one i have at embry riddle. If that's how they do if I'm sitting around a 3.5 GPA. Or are they just going to look at my GPA from my last college that is awarding my degree, that isn't using my older GPA from my other schools? I know that probably sounds a little confusing but I'm kind of confused myself

If the grades from your other schools aren't on the current school transcript then they will take all of your transcripts and average them.

Agree, actually with your posted numbers, and activities/acheivements, you will submit a very competitive package. Making E-6 w/ AW qual in ~6 yrs an added plus. Understand LORs in progress... make every effort to get at least 3 from people whe really know you, your leadership skills, and potential, preferably Supervisors, DivO/DH/XO/COs, and your Professors, etc., Hint: A solid LOR from a DivCPO, or DivO, carries much more weight than from an O-5/6, or a Politico who wouldn't know you if they tripped over you. Those type LORs sound great.. BUT they are usually "fill-in-the-blanks" form letters, and the experienced board members can spot the difference instantly. It somtime happens that a LOR 'author' may ask you to submit a "rough draft" letter for them to smooth up & sign. Grrr8 opportunity, after all, you know all your good points and accomplishments better than anyone, soooo... lay it on thick (eff humility for a bit), he'll smooth up and sign it. You will dig that letter!;)
My question is since I'm Turing in those other transcripts are the board members going to look at my other schools GPA and then weigh it against the one i have at embry riddle.
I can't answer that for sure, but don't sweat it needlessly, BECAUSE either way you will end up with either a great... or an outstanding GPA!
Best of luck with the Board.:D
