Lt. Cmdr. Mike "Koonta" Kinter?

That is one of the best call signs I've ever heard.

I know that guy in the middle ground with the monkey suit on. I sail(ed) with him on a regular basis; he actually lives on a boat. Good dude.

April 6, 1993 - VA-75 and CVW-3 return from 6 months aboard USS John F. Kennedy on a cruise where we did absolutely nothing.

Before I left I tried to convey to my son how long I'd be gone. He knew he was 2 1/2 and I told him he'd be three when he saw me again. I called him for his birthday and he told me he was three years old, and when was I coming home? About broke my heart to tell him I still had two more months to go. When I met him on the flight line the first thing he told me was that he was three years old. Photo ended up on the front page of the Virginia Pilot the next day.

Almost every little boy (and a few girls) I know whose dad is a pilot/nfo has had at least one flight suit. Most are complete with squadron and air wing patches.
