Thanks Chief. The truth of your post well be appreciated by those still in uniform in some way. The rest of us are just snarky old guys shaking our fist at some cloud. Good luck getting the quotas.
Agree on all points!

I apologize for they typo in my email, thanks for professionally pointing that out to me...correction - Michael.d.Duncan1@navy.mil. For the skeptics, My actual title is FTC (SS) Duncan and have over 17 years of service. I received a recommendation to post on this forum by another recruiter who has used this site to find high quality applicants for our aviation program. As I have never used forums before, I also welcome constructive feedback on if I have not approached this correctly. Thank you and please only call or text if you are in the NY area, if you are outside the new York area I will be more than happy to answer any questions you have through email. The links are to our aviation brochure.

You did nothing wrong, just a little unusual for a recruiter to hang his or her shingle out here on the forum.

It is funny how before I was an OR, while I was an OR, and after I was an OR NRC always said there was a "high" need for pilots, even when the numbers for accessions would go down from the year before, or when selection rates were 50%, don't fall into what the CRF guys tell you, look at the data yourself, if there was truly was a high demand selection rates would be nearly 100% :D

I have been on this forum for years, and honestly most young people that find this site already have a recruiter, yes there are a few here and there, but if you want to be a good OR, just talk to those that are the right age about being in the USN, we offer something that other employers can't, doing some amazing shit and building life-long relationships, it worked for me and I became the recruiter of the year for my NRD, a few times :)

I represent Naval Officer Programs in the NY area. There is currently a demand for Naval Pilots. I am available to answer any questions either through this forum, my email, or text/phonecall.

Hello Chief

I have a 92 on my ASVAB, Biology Bachelors with a 3.1 GPA, no criminal or drug usage history, but I do have $5,000 in student debt. One of my parents is not a US citizen. According to my MEPS help report, I lack depth vision, and I am very much near sighted. My near sight is, I think 17 / 20. Farsight is really bad. I can't see far away without my glasses.

I'm currently on Delayed Enlisted with duo option for the Officer position. I don't ship out until September.

I am not sure what your question is, but due to your eyesight and lack of depth perception you do not qualify for aviation. There are other officer programs you might be able to apply for, if you are interested talk to your recruiter about applying.

I do not know the percentages. If I come across that data, I will post it

Chief, you need to understand who you're dealing with on these forums. There's a ton of professional aviators here, but we also love to smell blood in the water. I'd argue it's what keeps our communities at their best. Don't take everything literally.

That said, welcome aboard and keep pressing.

No need; thanks to years and years of eager young aspiring Hornet pilots, that's just a question that's become a standing forum inside joke . . . for years and years. Originally because it used to spool up the mods, but now it's just a AWs meme.

And yes, the answer is 42% . . . the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything.
