Dan Carscallen is saluted by Aviation Ordnancemen aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) on his last day as a naval officer. Carscallen has been George Washington's weapons department head for the past two years and is retiring with 35 years of naval service. George Washington, the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, is underway ensuring security and stability in the western Pacific Ocean.
