Girlfriend and flight school

Thankfully my GF understands my "wings before rings" policy.

You alone are responsible for your success in flight school. You picked your career and you picked your girl, and hopefully they will coexist peacefully. If they don't you'll have to choose, but be a man about it and don't blame the Navy for ruining your love life or your girl for ruining your career.

I am struggling like hell through flight school now, but my wife has been nothing but helpful and supportive. If it weren't for her I'd still be struggling, but I'd be lonely too.

Bring her if you want her (it should be obvious to you), but if you don't make it through or get what you want don't try to pass the blame.

Happened to a friend of mine... he went from doing the all distance (I dont think they they had dated with them living remotely close to each other) thing w/ his girlfriend to her telling -not asking or previously discussing with, him that she was moving in with him at the RAG. Within two months she began making demands for the ring.

Or if she's a lower Alabama or south Texas native.

It's hard to believe all of these women are so set on getting hitched so fast.

I mean, I don't dis-believe it, I just don't understand it.

This must be it. Where I grew up, females were / are raised to be career minded (mostly to insure themselves against a kick-to-the-curb, two-at-the-teats divorce situation); marriage and kids are nice, but not likely UNTIL they hit 30.

I guess I am one of the only people here who had a pretty good amount of spare time for most of flight school (i.e. primary)?

Some guys spent their free time on TV and sleeping, others spent it on their GF or wife.

Some spent it on porn, for that matter, and the others, again, on their GF or wife. I think ya get my drift on that one...

But hey, some people would rather do it alone, I guess.

Amen brother. My dad told me he'd be very disappointed if I got married young. I don't plan to get married until both the following criteria are met:

I'm 30
I meet the absolute miss Right, and NOT miss right now

Thats what nice about the Gold Club in Jax. You get the brief and there's only one thing you can't touch.

As far as ROE goes, I vote Montreal. Canada is good for something. (beer, hockey, clubs)
